Travels to London are too expensive/take too long to just renew a passport. This branch must stay open!!

Can't close an embassy in the second biggest city in the UK!

I agree with all the comments above, it would be extremely difficult for anyone to go to the consulate in London, especially considering the short opening hours. Please keep the Manchester branch open!

E' molto costoso e difficile andare a Londra per documenti! Il treno ha costi proibitivi.

IT WILL NOT SOUND GOOD TO THOSE LIVING IN THE NORTH. IT TAKES ONE DAY JOURNEY TO GO TO LONDON, YOU WILL STOP YOUR JOB, IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN WHERE WILL YOU KEEP THEM, INCONVENIENCES AND TIME WASTED SO PLS CAN WE TRY TO LEAVE FOR NOW.

It would be a massive inconvenience for the Italian community that live up in the north. Why must everything be in London adding more expensae to renew and facilitate passports and documents. Just pushing us more to having a uk passport.

There is a strong and long-established Italian community in Manchester which is increasing through the academic community connected to the universities in the city. The Consular services, already too streamlined, bring a cohesion to this community and provide crucial links to the home country. The removal of such a service in the UK's second city, would create a social, political and economic gap within Manchester's strong and diverse Italian community.

A false economy in an effort to save money. It will, cut off the population of Manchester fromItalian culture.
