We need at least a monthly collection to deal with the amount of leaves still to fall

The trees in Lisvane have yet to shed any leaves so to stop garden waste collections now is madness !

We pay a lot of money for council services, the council should respect this and provide the services we pay for

Another daft decision by Cardiff CC in a month when people are tidying and prepareing their gardens for winter. Well done Cardiff CC!

Our autumn and winters are so much milder these days. We really need more collections.

Crazy not to have garden waste collections even once a month

Autumn leaf drop is only just happening and we’ve had a great Autumn weather wise which means we have had late flowering shrubs and have continued working in the garden pruning and clearing (not least facilitated by lockdown confinement to home and garden) we still have lots of green waste to dispose of. Please extend the green waste collection to accommodate the exceptional circumstances.

Would like collections to go on longer in autumn and to have fewer in spring.

The Council need to carry on with at least a monthly collection from November 2020 to February 2021 as there is still a lot of garden waste to disposed of.

If you cancel green bin collections you will encourage waste being dumped which will cause greater problems

A ridiculous decision as the streets of Rhiwbina will be ankle deep in leaves over the winter and spring periods.

Autumn and Winter is the time of year when those of us with gardens produce some of the most green waste. I can understand reducing the number of collections, but to cancel them entirely for 3 months is counter productive.

I struggle currently with 2 collections a month, during the winter it is even more difficult with 1 collection a month. To suggest using recycling sites in South Cardiff to take waste after closing Wedal Road means that it is contrary to Council policy in terms of car journeys and pollution. What are you supposed to do, cycle there!!! The council keeps wasting money on 20mph signs and cycle lanes which are in the main rarely used, yet they are quick to cut vital services such as green bin collections. Time for citizen action.

To use the ‘pandemic’ as an excuse to stop the garden waste collection, is to treat us public like idiots. There is no logical explanation to stop the collections. If normal waste can be collected safely, then so can garden waste. This is a financial/cost decision plain and simple.
