Our gardens have been havens and healing places for everyone during lockdown; please continue collections, as long as our key workers’ safety is assured - they are the real priority.

The lack of collection will simply increase dumping/fly tipping, such a short sighted approach to have zero collections.

To have no garden collection for 4 months is unrealistic . Waste will be dumped and the council will have to clean it up anyway !!

Cutting back large shrubs, hedges and trees is a winter job and rapidly fills green bins. The accumulated garden waste stored on my patio since March has just, literally today, been cleared. I need at least monthly collection over the winter for all the pruning that will be done before spring. Summer pruning promotes growth so should be avoided to reduce waste.

Gardeners desperately need to benefit from this Council service. Autumn/Winter is a very busy time in the gardening calendar, time when the largest amount of garden waste being produced. This is when the majority of cutting back and pruning is completed. Not having this facility will lead to people attempting to dispose of this by any means.
Could the Council explain why this course of action is in the public interest in the pandemic? How would this provide a positive for the Council in light of the global emergency?

Gardening will become more
important during lockdown. Removing this service will not support our getting out in our the garden for health and relaxation.

Seems completely nonsensical to stop green bin collections when so much garden waste amassed during the autumn

We must ensure garden waste collection is as important as other waste collection. Please make every effort to ensure they are not discontinued.

We pay enough for council tax. Provide the service or provide a refund.
