What are we supposed to do with it? If Covid did not stop them collecting in the summer why has it become a problem now? Their gardens department would tell them that winter is when a large amount of pruning is done.

We are doing far more gardening in lockdown
Taking garden waste to local recycling centre is totally impractical due to bulky ness of waste.
No collection is ridiculous

Living in a local lockdown area, gardening has been my sanctuary and helped me mentally. Plus with the autumn leaves that need to be cleared, which will ruin all my efforts

It’s autumn loads of leaves from all the trees. Also tree and shrub trimming, grass cutting is carried out throughout the winter. Green bin collection needed. We are encouraged to stay at home and gardening is our therapy even more so at this difficult time.

We are spending more time in our gardens, and maintaining our gardens a monthly green waste collection is important not everyone is able to travel to the recycling centres and each household has a limited number of visits allowed. Please continue with the monthly green waste collection.

Why would continuing autumn/winter garden waste collection suddenly jeopardise general waste collection? Gardens in South Wales need maintenance through winter which generates the need for collections. People should be encouraged to keep gardening - particularly at the moment.

Absolute disgrace . Using COVID as an excuse to cut council services is simply not acceptable . Show me the evidence to suggest general waste won’t be collected by doing garden waste collections once a month ! No doubt they will put the rates up in April too !

Last time, recycling was stopped, now garden waste. People can't hop on a bus with bags of leaves & grass to take to recycling!! This is nonsensical, and just another effort from the council to make their own jobs easier, at the expense of the taxpayers who pay their salaries.

The idea of putting your garden to bed for the winter is a very old fashioned one. With the warming climate Gardens no longer go to sleep in the winter and there is need for rubbish collections all year round. This year particularly when some people have started gardening for the first time they should be encouraged to continue. It keeps people healthy and in touch with nature.

November is the time when the leaves fall and the greatest amount of cutting back is needed in the garden. Please at least re-instate the November collection
