Even though the football program was cancelled, more signatures are needed to show support for our school and lack of support for the President of UAB and the Board which has continually stood in the way of progress four our school's football program. This is bigger than football, though; it is a call to separate our school from those who try to hold back progress.

I realize that the origianl goal of this petition was to keep UAB football from being eliminated, and that has passed. But I hope that by continuing to gather signatures, this issue will remain in the spotlight until every detail of what truely transpired (or conspired, as the case may be) is out for all to know. As alumni, residents of Birmingham or Tuscaloosa, and citzens of Alabama, we deserve to know.

I work at UAB and I'm also a student. My daughter is an alumni and also a current student for Masters, she was also a UAB Golden Girl. This makes me sick!!!

Don't you know football and other major sports are the marketing arm for your college. I never heard of UAB until their football season!

I would like to see the immediate return of UAB Football and the seperation of UAB form the University of Alabama system so that this travesity does not occur again.
