The attempt to demolish UAB football is absolutely ludicrous. In 69 years. I've seldom seen such a stupid move. Coach Bryant would have no paret in it.

as an Alum I hope you keep what has been fought for by good people. I also hope you keep the Honors Program and more Undergrad Studies. pay attention to what the citizens need. they will go elsewhere with their tuition, donations and support. Shame on administration and the UA Board. Keep your politics elsewhere.

UAB Football provides at least 85 scholarships to students, possibly more indirectly. UAB cannot remain a member of the Conference USA if it does not have a football program. Leaving the C-USA could have negative downstream consequences on each of the other sports programs that also provide scholarships to many students. Please, continue UAB Football!

I no longer attend UAB, but I attended there freshman year and thus owe a quarter of my bachelor's degree to this great university. I've seen firsthand the great things that UAB is doing, and harming UAB will only harm the great city of Birmingham, and ultimately, the entire state of Alabama. UABOT has toyed with and bullied UAB for far too long and it's time to take a stand.

UAB Athletics are a crucial part of the university and for them to be taken away would be an injustice to the entire university, especially those involved in the athletics department. Attendance has gone up, UAB is bowl-eligible this year; the team is doing well. Once football is taken away, who knows what will go next. It will be a trickle down effect and eventually, if this trend continues, UAB will have no athletics department.
