These kids love football and they have just started to rise! I am sure football helps keep some of them out of trouble....why try to take it away now?

This will affect many programs beyond football, not the least is the marching band and cheerleaders. The football team is a visual aspect of the university and is really a valid part of university academic recruitment.

Keep it. you'll destroy not only the football program but the blazer band. Every college deserves a football team and all the things that go with it. While you are at it, build a stadium. More people would attend it (think of all the UAB employees) if UAB had a decent stadium near the college and not in a part of town everyone is afraid to go to.

UAB Football has the support of Birmingham, If the program is dropped it will be very detrimental to the school, players, other related programs and the Board of Trusties reputation.

The UAB band program fundamentally changed my life trajectory. It gave me an education beyond what my classes could. I learned to believe in myself, work with others, be disciplined, and I met lifelong friends. If you don't believe in UAB, tell us to our faces.

UAB football is a program that is finally starting to make a name for itself after years of suffering. The UA Board needs to stop trying to money-grubble and let UAB have its athletics succeed.

I enjoyed UAB Football during my tenure there. It was great to watch football while hanging out with friends. Unlike most schools, you actually knew and interacted with athletes on the team because they were students and residents just like the rest of us. Give future Blazer generations the opportunity to do the same.
