This was done without consideration for players,students, alumni etc. this is unjust and a statement wasn't issued as to why. This is completely incomprehensible and deplorable.

As a person who grew up in Birmingham and also UA alumnus, this sickens me. Football is the lifeblood of this state... how you can take away these opportunities from these young men I will never know. Invest in the program, make it something better for your students (who will thank you) and the benefit of the city as a whole, don't just throw it away.

UAB is in the heart of Birmingham - to give up on the UAB football program and all that goes along with it (leaving conference usa, the jobs, the scholarships, the bands, etc) will greatly hurt the magic city. Don't give in to the bullies. Keep UAB Football!

A less worse scenario happened with UNO (Nebraska-Omaha) and the Nebraska school system BoR. Should've seen this coming.
