Stop "torturing" my Alma Mater. I'm an Alumni Member and I bend over backwards to support UAB in every endeavor. For once Dr. Watts...Take our interests into consideration and do something that matters dearly to the UAB Family

UA and AU are the only SEC teams that do not play other D1 "in state" teams. Why?

It would be a crushing blow to the city of Birmingham and the state of Alabama.

I remember attending many Blazer football games while attending UAB. I look forward to taking my children to some as they get a bit older.

The current student body, and alumni as well as the city of Birmingham deserve to have a say in the future of UAB athletics in particular it's football program. I am highly disappointed in the treatment and lack of support of the program from the UA BoTs. Allow the city of Birmingham and the local business community to partner with UAB in efforts to build an on campus stadium and better facilities. This will make a significant difference in attendance and community support. The program is making great strides to win on the field so allow Birmingham and the business community to help make UAB football something the students, alumni and area can take pride in. I highly doubt higher support for UAB will diminish the state of the University of Alabama football.

I beleive that in the economy of this university it makes good sense to continue the investment in football. It ronds out the student life experience - especially here in the south - and will pay dividends down the road in student recruitment and alumni giving.

I travel from Orlando, FL to watch the Blazers play ball. I've noticed, even though I'm not an Alabama resident, that UAB football is treated second class.

I hope people realize this goes way beyond just football. As UAB goes, so goes the City of Birmingham!! UAB must continue to grow in all ways possible to help the city continue is revitalization efforts. I am a University of Alabama graduate and it disgusts me to no end how our BOT treats UAB! I honestly wish they would form their own board, it seems to be the only way for UAB to have a chance!

Let's try something new. Instead of finding reasons we can't get something accomplished with the UAB football program, let's unlock its potential. Give the program the support it deserves and the tools it needs to get the job done. Go Blazers!
