A viable football program for this university is good for the image, name recognition, and enrollment of the university.

I am very disappointed that the UABOT continue trying to undermine UAB sports and academic programs in favor of UAT.

Football is truly a part of the college experience. If they think alumni are going to remember UAB because of a class they need to talk to alumni more. Extracurricular activities, including going to football and basketball games are the tools that connect the student to the school.

I am a parent financially supporting UAB and a son who is attending there. I am so pleased with UAB and the opportunity for students to enjoy all the benefits of big college within a smaller community like this campus. The football program is a very important part of student life. It would be a travesty to do anything other than support it fully. Go Blazers!

im an Alabama grad but still support UAB football. It's good for the school to have the same recreational activities and opportunities as other universities and football is a major part of that in today's world.

To end UAB football in its current form would be an poor decision on the part of the leadership of the university and talk of it should be ended immediately. Also it should be worked out with the city to build a more modern stadium that could host not only UAB football, but, the BIrmingham Bowl, the Magic City Classic and the reported NAFL franchise slated to begin play next week. That could easily be a co-operative effort between the city and the school. The talk of possibly ending the football program is short-sighted on the part of school leadership.
