I am a former player that played in 96,97,98! My brother played before me in 93 & 94! Our family bleeds green and gold! UAB football has a proud history and deserves a TRUE chance to exist!! We have never been allowed that chance without the UA board of trustees screwing things up! After enduring two failures as coaches, we finally have that guy that can pick up where coach Brown left off and take us to that next level. Let's pay the Man! Build a stadium on campus! Schedule games with in state schools that aren't afraid to play us! Ultimately build on the momentum from this season and make our city and state proud!

after working at UAB for 17 years I remember the day it was announced that UAB would have a team and the excitement that grew around it. I hope and encourage UAB to continue this program.

The university will absolutely NOT be the same without UAB FOOTBALL!!! How can anyone deny an improved student campus life for a top notch University such as UAB? The increased morale and camaraderie that a football program brings to UAB not to mention how much enrollment increases..I have witnessed what happened to The University of Central Florida since they spent money on their football program!!! It is amazing how much that school has grown!!! SO PLEASE INVEST IN THIS FOOTBALL PROGRAM AT UAB AND SEE WHAT WONDERFUL THINGS WILL HAPPEN DOWN ON THE SOUTHSIDE!! GO BLAZERS!!!

I do not know too much about the topic so I do not wish to speak out of turn. However, it seems to me that our UAB Football program is growing and headed in the right direction. In addition, it has the support of many individuals, not only those affiliated with UAB, but also the Birmingham community as well. In light of that, I believe that if possible, UAB should make the effort to continue the UAB Football program. Go Blazers!

As a UAB alum and supporter of its basketball, soccer, and football teams (many of who are my fraternity brothers), I can't stand to see our teams punished after finally being given a good coach.
