Third attempt to sign this. First resulted in only the first sentence posting regarding my love for Bama football. The rest of that... Despite being a UA fan since childhood, UAB success (mere competitiveness actually) has excited me more than Bama championships. Being an alumni, 2010 graduate, there was little to cheer for during my years there. The program showed so much potential in it's first decade just to be neglected in the past decade to this point. And now, on the cusp on bowl eligibility, with a coach everyone is standing behind, who has quickly earned his pay and has the team showing so much potential, this possibility? The students, alumni, and city deserve better. Give the program a fair chance. - Stephen Scott, Captain, US Army, deployed and proudly flying my Blazer flag.

I've been a UAB supporter since birth (thanks Dad!) and would hate to see this program suffer due to poor support from a Board who does not have the University or city's best interest at heart.

I have a son on this team. He loves the team, his teamates and Birmingham. He has aquired new brothers coming to UAB. To have it snatched away without thinking about the kids is wrong. What kind of program would UAB have if it was given time and equal resources to other programs in Conference USA. Every yr coaches are held accountable for not winning but are given the deaf ear when they ask for tools to help get 3-4 and 5 Star athletes to WANT to go to school in Birmingham. Its not right to watch smaller schools get excited about coming into Conf. USA from Div. 1AA and Div. 2 and make the necessary changes, like North Texas and Abiliene Christian. I have watched them build new weight rooms, locker rooms and stadiums to get recruits so they could have a great first impression in their new conference. Keep the program. Invest in the program and watch the program turn around. Give the Blazer basketball team Bartow and nice locker rooms, they give us Conference USA tournaments and beat a top 10 team. Give the Blazer baseball a new stadium and they win Conference USA. Hmmmm. Get the picture yet. Go Blazers! Finish Strong!
