I attended every UAB home game this year. Those players played their hearts out! They deserve a football program. They deserve a chance!

There are no connections between the University of Alabama schools aside from the BOT. After UAB dropped my undergrad program in 2011, both UA refused to offer acceptance to the school, let alone honor any portion of my scholarship (UAH did not offer the program). Overall, disappointing. Blaze on, UAB.

Watts wants to take us back to 1985. UAB should settle for no less than the 2011 strategic plan. Don't let a handful of greedy men kill the dreams of a vibrant UAB!

I am from Lancaster, PA, and I have no direct affiliation to UAB aside from being a supporter of higher education and an avid football fan. After hearing some of the information presented about the enforced disbandment of the football program, I would have to say that it is unfathomable to me that a division one football program cannot find the support to allow the program to continue. It seems as if the university president has a hidden agenda that doesn't include football. I hope that this can be resolved and that this team will have the opportunity to come together as one on the gridiron again! #uabfootball
