Alum tired of politicians messing around with carriers of student for their own pettiness. UAB football is good for the college and city. It more importantly affects athletes scholarships, including cheerleading, dance line, color guard and many musicians...all of which contribute to society just as much as medicine, and depend on scholarships which include football games!

college athletics are the vehicle for growth and human developement for so many student athletes...it takes time and money to build a football program...I witnessed this first hand at USF...they stayed the course and have reaped the rewards, as have so many student-athletes and alumni!

The football team needs to stay alive, and the board of trustees needs to show UAB as a whole some respect, Alabama at Tuscaloosa isn't everything.

You have to be ignorant to not be able to see the positives this football team brings to this school
