This is ridiculous for the largest city in Alabama to not have a Division I football team. Seriously, this is Birmingham's team.

I am a UAB alum. I was thrilled when UAB funded a football team, just as I was proud of Gene Bartow's great success with basketball when I attended UAB and later. I hope UAB can continue to draw students and GOOD publicity with its C-USA teams.

I think the UAB University should be able to make its own decisions about football and other things also. Thank you
