I'm a proud alum of not just academics, but athletics. I was there when UAB made the jump to "D1" football. It's saddens my heart to see/read the abhorrent things swirling around a fantastic athletic program. For ONCE, do what's right! Remove the self serving political agenda(s) and do what's best for the school, the students, and the community.

i attended UAB back in the dark ages and now it is truly its own university and should be allowed to have the full array of sports and academics like other 'real' universities!

keep UAB football! It's one of the greatest things in Birmingham and the kids at that school deserve a chance to live their dream of playing college football!

Civic pride, potential economic benefits shared by University and city of Birmingham if properly administered.
