I've worked in sports in Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, and Birmingham for almost 20 years. This would be the worst move in the HISTORY of sports in Alabama, and will end up hurting UAB and Tuscaloosa. This isn't a loss of 85 scholarships...womens sports will lose several scholarships as well, due to Title 9. As a former broadcaster, and marketer of college sports, I know a good many of you in administration and on the Board. I will be disappointed BIG time in you if you let this football program go.

This is seriously not cool. This shouldn't be up for petition. UAB has as much right to have a football program as the Univerdity of Alabama.

It is not fair for these players, the head coach, assistant coaches, and their families to have to suffer the anxiety of possibly losing their job everyday, and the lack of support from the leaders of this University. Politics is a dirty game!

As a current UAB student I feel the need to cut UAB Football is ridiculous. I have been watching and attending UAB football games before I became a student. This by far has been the best season, in my opinion. Things are only going to get better. I will always support this school. Go Blazers!
