At the end of the day, this is about more than just football, but football is certainly an important part of it. Despite being a part of the UA system, UAB still has the right to exist without the belittlement that it has received from the UABoT. Let's show them how important it is to us that we, as a university, are completely able to take the right measures to provide for our programs and be completely successful in all that we do! Go Blazers!

UAB needs to develop on its own trajectory - as a separate institution of higher learning - not an extension campus of the University of Alabama. Independent leadership and an independent Board will allow UAB to develop that unique identity. The on campus life, sports, activities, groups, etc. all add to the "UAB Experience" and are a very important subset of the college experience.
