I have no dog in fight but my son was on staff at UAB. The Blazers don't compete w/ Bama or Auburn. Bear Bryant's son should be ashamed of this blatant bullying. From outside I said years ago a downtown stadium would succeed. Legion Field is an armpit in an armpit. Why Bama trustees want to put their foot on the neck of what could be an asset to the state is beyond me. Why not make state programs attractive as a whole rather than prop up an already successful giant? Greed kills. I rooted for UAB because of my kid and took my family to Tuscaloosa and Auburn out of respect and history. Allow UAB to make the state proud. The coach has worked hard and wiping out football is similar to Old Man Potter trying to bulldoze Bedford Falls. You do nothing but encourage stereotypes with this greedy, selfish behavior.
