This is ridiculous. Those kids play their hearts out and we love them for it.

I am incredibly honored to have been a part of the Marching Blazers and UAB Blazerettes during my time at UAB. As a double major invoked in both the arts and the sciences at UAB, as well as a member of the University Honors Program, I wanted an experience capable of celebrating ALL that UAB is and does for Birmingham. Without UAB's football program, my personal UAB legacy would be incomplete. You don't have to be a football fanatic to feel the excitement and celebration for all this University means to Birmingham.

As a former Marching Blazer for 4 years, UAB Football holds a sincere place in my heart. I would truly hate to see it go!

This program defined my experience as a college student. I will no longer refer and\or suggest students (which a lot of times are future science majors.) attend UAB if you get rid if the athletic program. The marching band was my life and the only reason I was able to attend college plus I attribute many of my leadership skills to that program. I attended UA for grad school but UAB is where my heart is.

As a senior, some of my greatest memories of the past four years have revolved around UAB football; with our team drastically improving, there shouldn't be a reason to pull it out now. This is really going to shake things up if it's taken away, and I don't see myself supporting a school who would do that
