The fact that I even have to sign this petition makes me sick! UABOT needs a wake up call, and this is it. Stop making UAB suffer when we could flourish. The football program was a huge draw for me to attend school here. That new freshman dorm you built? It will be EMPTY next year with no football program. Go blazers forever and always!!!!

Being able to play as a member of the Marching Blazero has definitely been the highlight of my college career thusfar! If there had not been a marching band program at UAB, I would not have come!! This is going to affect much more than just our Fall Saturdays! Athen dance at other sporting events will fall, admission rate will fall, and our University will take a huge leap bAckles despite all of the progress that we have made!!!@UABOT WE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS!!!! THIS IS NO LONGER YOUR PROGRAM!!! WE'RE TAKING IT BACK ANDROID YOU CAN'T SHUT IT DOWN!!!! #FREEUAB

my daughter is a student and a blazer hostiess for the football program. this is a successful program with talented football players, marching band, blazerettes, cheerleaders, coaches, etc. it is a terrible shame that it is this way at all. give these kids and this program what they deserve because they have worked for it.

It would be different if there weren't student athletes anxious for a place to play in Alabama.

Let us alumni be proud to have an alma mater that doesn't make us choose between academic and athletic excellence. Respect the students and community you work for.

I honestly can't believe that people of "assumed" intelligence to be on the BOT for UA would allow something like this to happen. Use your brain. Think about the young people this effects. Don't be selfish!!

Go Blazers! Such a shame to see a program that was the highlight of my time at UAB come to an end. I can't imagine my time at UAB without going to the games & all the activities that surrounded the program.
