As an alumni and former cheerleader I am disgusted by the BOT! FREE UAB because they definitely don't have our best interest!

The UAB Athletic program is what sparked our interest in UAB to begin with. Then we checked into the academic program and immediately found UAB to be a well-rounded university that we could be proud to send our daughter to. She is s freshman and lives it there. I strongly urge UAB not to weaken their athletic program by shutting down the football program. Don't give up on these young adults, they deserve more!

Keep UAB football. I love watching the Blazers play. Great atmosphere, outstanding players, coaches, cheerleaders and marching band. So many young people will be unable to pursue there passions and stay close to home.

I will withdraw all my support and money from UA if UAB's football program is cut. Not hiring Jimbo Fischer made the trustee's motives apparent. The people of Alabama are not stupid, and this is a slap in our face for feeding us reasons that are lies. Under the guise of cutting the program for monetary reasons you are actually destroying a valuable source of revenue which would come to life if you would only let the people fund it, and if you would stop cock blocking all the dam attempts to grow this program.

This decision to end the UAB Football program is a slap in the face to the student population, alumni, players, coaches, and all others who's goal it to represent our university in a positive light. To the administrators responsible for this action, you have profoundly let us down.
