We need to keep this. Youths need space to develop and the outdoors is an asset to their mental health.

It's been part of Shaw for a long time. Youngsters need these outdoor facilities.

I still remember my first cub camp there over 50 years ago. Dog Hill is part of the towns heritage an an invaluable community resource then and even more so now.

This is a valued scouring resource. We use it as a district to achieve the hardest challange badge in Scouts, the expedition challenge. Its a charity where all monies are put back into the site. Increasing the rates would potentially put an end to this valuable resource for young people when the council are cutting youth services.

We need as many volunteers as possible to put in whatever hours they can to get this site fully functional. Three of us (not young by any means) have just spent a very enjoyable weekend but hard work at the camp doing what we can.

I'm a scout leader and I believe that all facilities that benefit young people should be maintained, improved on and invested in - not closed. Kids benefit massively and positively from organised exposure to the great outdoors, so please keep this scout site.

Doghill is an important community resource with little money. It needs every penny it gets. Nobody gets paid it’s maintained by volunteers. Doghill is important for future generations
