Please don't stop supporting this scout camp site. Doing so will upset thousands of young people across Oldham, Manchester and the wider community that have used the site in the past and would want to use it in the future.

Scouting teaches life skills to youngsters. Outdoor activities and camping enhances those skills. If this facility was taken away, then it would be to the detriment and loss in passing on these skills that Scouting has to offer.

This is a great resource that would be sadly missed if closed

As a local cub leader at 1st shaw to lose such a venue would be devastating to the district as with investment and support from the local community this could be a real asset to local interest groups. Neil Samuels

The voluntary sector is already under enough pressure in its attempts to develop the young citizens of tommorrow. Losing facilities like this will only end up with further increases in knife crime and other youth offences. Do the right thing Oldham, you know it makes sense.

A worthy cause, silly to cut anything that can benefit young people.

From a bricked up bunkhouse & 4 walled toilet block, no roof or fittings. It wasn't used. You now have leveled camping areas, fitted kitchen, dining area & bunk beds, wood burning fire to be cosy . A flushing toilet block. Over the years usage has increased and the children have great fun.

This campsite would be a great loss not just to the scouts but the wider community of families that bring their children for outdoor fun and for the adults needing a break from it all that go there for some peace and quiet surrounded by nature. We need places like this to be funded, preserved and cherished.

As a ex district commissioner of Crompton and Royton, I hope Oldham council realise this camp site needs this support to help the young people of Crompton Royton and surrounding areas to focus their positive energies for the good of themselves and their community.

Save dog hill as I have just passed my NAP I am looking for new camps to try. As a group we would love to see dog hill supported by the council so scout groups don't miss out on an amazing adventure.
