The BTEC Level 3 Engineering must continue!
It allows for progression from the BTEC Level 2.
It enables students to access an academic qualification by choice and not dictated to by the only other options available on island - The IB and A Levels.
It is a qualification regarded highly by providers on and off island.
It allows for students to access Higher Education at a later date having experienced a practical and specific qualification.
The level of support for this program reflects the genuine value it provides to our students. This momentum confirms that maintaining diverse educational pathways in Guernsey remains a priority for our community.

A levels and IB are too academic for some. BTEC was the only way I got into my trade. dont take that path away from the next group.

Ridiculous that they are even considering cutting this. Engineering is a huge field and we need these skills on the island.

Total joke. We should be investing in the kids who want to work with their hands not making it impossible for them.

PLEASE keep this running. My brother worked so hard for his level 2 and now has nowhere to go.
