We are very disappointed that Google decided to retire the "Google Reader" service. A message now appears when accessing Google Reader that advises the user that the service will stop functioning after July 2013. Google Reader integrates with the Google Account making it easy to subscribe to, manage and read news items wherever there is a computer connected to the internet. This petition seeks from Google the continuation of the service and withdrawal of the plans to discontinue it. We believe that Google does not realise how important this service is to many users. Google, please reconsider your decision and continue offering the "Google Reader" service.
