To the President of Mexico, Mr. Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the Mexican Foreign Minister, Mr. Marcelo Luis Ebrard Casaubón, with the due respect they deserve:
We, the eligible voters, below signatories of the cities, counties and rural areas of Northern Nevada, We present the following petition, in order to realize the yearning and the need of the compatriots resident in the area, to bring and build a Consulate of Mexico in Northern Nevada, that provides consular services to Mexicans residing in the aforementioned area and nearby cities.
As the cities of Northern Nevada expand, the closest consular offices for these services are located in Sacramento, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. Having a local consulate would be of great benefit and accessibility for thousands of people who for different reasons cannot make long trips to current offices.
To succeed with this request, we need to reach our minimum objective of 50,000 electronic signatures, before we can send this request to Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Luis Ebrard Casaubón and Mr. President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. presentamos la siguiente petición, con la finalidad de hacer realidad
el anhelo y la necesidad de los compatriotas residentes en el área, de
traer y construir un Consulado de México en el Norte de Nevada, que
brinde servicios consulares a los mexicanos residentes en el área
mencionada y ciudades cercanas.
A medida que las ciudades del Norte de Nevada se expanden, las oficinas consulares más cercanas para estos servicios se encuentran en Sacramento, California y Las Vegas, Nevada. Tener un consulado local sería de gran beneficio y accesibilidad para miles de personas que por diferentes razones no pueden hacer largos viajes a las oficinas actuales.
Para tener éxito con ésta petición, necesitamos alcanzar nuestro objetivo mínimo de 50,000 firmas electrónicas, antes de que podamos enviar esta petición al Canciller mexicano Marcelo Luis Ebrard Casaubón y al señor Presidente de México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Supporting my neighbors on this. It makes a ton of sense for the local community.
Too much time off work just to get papers done. This would help so many families here.
Its ridiculous that we have to travel 7 hours for basic services. Hope someone listens.
Driving all the way to Vegas is impossible for my elderly parents. We really need this in Reno asap.

PLEASE!! My kids need their passports and the trip to Cali is way too expensive right now.
