Sex is a protected characteristic under the Equality Act which explicitly outlines the necessity and legitimacy of single sex spaces. Allowing people to self-ID as the opposite sex effectively abolishes single sex spaces, the right to single sex intimate care, single sex dorms, single sex wards, single sex refuges and single sex sports. All without any consultation with the people most affected by it. Implementing this change is an abrogation of the government's responsibility to it's people and will cause untold harm to women and girls. Ultimately, it will damage the economy as women self-exclude from public life. Allowing Karen White to rape and abuse the vulnerable women who were locked up with Karen, unable to escape from the violence Karen wrought has already damaged women, and the reputation of this country.

Self ID is the singular most horrendous suggestion I have ever had the misfortune to come across. It will be disastrous for women and girls. Transpeople deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. They though and indeed no other group should be trying to establish ‘rights’ at the cost of 52% of the population.. . Women’s Sports should also be for Women. I don’t know what on Earth is going on or why. This March of trans ideology needs to be stopped. We are now even in the realms of ‘compelled speech’ which is against human rights let alone womens.

Biological sex is immutable. No-one should be discriminated against on the basis of their gender ID. But that identification cannot over-write the legally recognised protections of anyone.

It is not possible to change sex. Gender identity is just personality so as diverse as the number of people there are.
Male violence and sexual assault is a huge problem and in order for it to be dealt with it needs to be named. Only a man can rape, the vast majority of sexual assault and violent crimes are commited by males. There is no evidence to suggest using a feminine identity reduces male violence or sexual assault risk - in fact judging by the crimes that many incarcerated trans identifying males are locked up for, possibly the opposite is true.
Children need protecting from an ideology that puts people on a path of lifelong medication, sometimes surgery... a child does not have the ability to give informed consent. Only adults should be alliwed to transition - the brain is not actually fully developed until around 25. Detransitioners need to be heard, better treatment for them and support and accurate statistics.

This is not about equal rights, this is about additional rights for males over female sex based rights. Woman have fought hard and long to get the rights and protections we have.

If you take away the safeguards for women,you also take away the safeguards for all children,is this really a policy that the government is willing to allow? Women are as we all know the gatekeepers of protection for children.We need to question why people would want to dismantle our rights and for what reason.it is not about the ideology of transgender,it’s about freedom of speech.
