Jimmy deserves this. He is Mr. U.S. Open. The main stadium should have been named after him. But the grandstand is fine. Please do that.

By far the new should be named after Jimmy Connors. He is the reason tennis has grown to where it is today. He is an example of what tennis is all about. Nobody exudes excitement like Jimbo. Nobody in tennis has ever had more enthusiasm and determination to win as Jimmy. Do Jimmy a great honor and name the new stadium after him. Jimmy is one of the greatest players of all time. His name needs to be enshrined on the new stadium.

No one athlete can be identified with a single event as Jimmy is with the US Open. The man won here five times on three different surfaces yet is best remembered for the event he did not win: the '91 Open that raised the kind of excitement and emotion not seen before or since.

Jimmy was a wonderful player I think he richly deserves this honour for all the great performances at The U.S.Open.

Connors IS tennis, still after all these years and it's unbelievable for me that her doesn't have his name attached to a stadium in the tournament he won 5 times and the incredible run in 1991 when he at 39 years of age astounded the world by reaching the semifinals showing a fighting spirit that brought a whole world on its feet
