I grew up in connnemara due an undiagnosed underactive thyroid at the age of 17 I suffered from a gran mal epileptic seizure . An ambulance was called however although I was unconscious and barely made it through the following days due to the intensity of the seizure ,the ambulance taking me the hr and a half trip to a&e was made to wait for another patient .

An ambulance base is a must for the locality. We class our country as developed and thriving and yet rural communities are still deprived of basic services
