I feel this is important because it's actually a healing process for both parties.
We are unfortunately a society to blame and punish rather rehabilitate and heal. We create more criminals rather than look at the root cause and work with healing the issues.
Conjugal visits are more than just about the physical aspect. It's about healing, connectedness and rehabilitating in a healthy way. Not every situation is the same and our society could deal with a bit more compassion rather than the constant brutality of discipline from those with issues themselves. .....How does the saying go?... those that live in glass houses? ....

Research supporting conjugal visits indicates that allowing inmates to spend time with partners and loved ones strengthens family bonds, reduces violence, and creates safer prison environments for inmates.
