Our kids don't want to be different. Our kids would love to just blend in and not "inconvenice" you with their life-threatening condition. Truly, my child doesn't want to be "the weird kid", but people like you make him out to be that when you point the finger, as if he had some control over this horrible illness he was born with. Would you make fun of a person in a wheelchair? Why this disability then? A good comedian would have better material than that. I'd like to believe you do too. You have something to learn here Mr. Lopez. I hope you do.

Not ok. My child almost died twice from eating food with egg. She is also allergic to peanuts. I don't think it's asking too much for a parent to be able to preclean seats for a flight to make sure it is safe for their child. It also shouldn't be too much to ask people to not eat peanuts on a flight. Some people cannot be around peanut dust. But I suppose in your opinion Mr. Lopez those people should never travel anywhere by plane or go to public school. We need to homeschool them all and tell them to never fly overseas. Unbelievable. My daughter doesn't attend a peanut free school but we are able to take necessary precautions to keep her safe. It can be done.

Do you have any idea what it's like to know that something as small as a peanut can take your child away?! It just takes one accidental ingestion to cause a life threatening reaction. My son is my everything and I will advocate for him and others living with food allergies. Yes, we have to call airlines before booking, call restaurants ahead of time, ask friends/family/schools what ingredients they used or where they order food from so we can call and double check it is safe for ourselves and children to eat. I would never stop and I promise to continue to "annoy" people like you till you understand and take time to learn the seriousness of life with food allergies. Educate yourself before opening your mouth!

George Lopez's comedy routine makes me completely sick to my stomach, especially considering a 13 year-old boy died just last month from food allergy bullying in school. I simply cannot fathom this level of ignorance. He is actually encouraging people to assault a student with a nut allergy in a school setting (swapping out guns for nuts). It is truly disturbing on so many levels! This is absolutely unacceptable behavior.

My son has life threatening allergies to peanuts and tree nuts. Trust me, it is not funny at all. It was not his choice to have these allergies.

Compassion and understanding in our world is fading... and freedom of speech and comedic shock seem to be rights worth defending. It's time to start setting a better example for our children by our own actions. I sign this because I have a 14 year old son with a life threatening peanut allergy. I sign this because I have a 14 year old son and three other children who need to learn right from wrong. We can set better examples of how to treat others!

His comments were disgusting. Human lives are at risk and he casually jokes because of his inconvenience to have bite sized snack. This is gross and distasteful at the very least. If he's not effected by peanuts great! For those that are they should be able fly on a plane and attend any school of their choosing just as he requested as a human. Human Rights!

Where's the compassion? Ridiculing someone for a condition they can't help is no different than doing the same because of someones skin color. He is on the same low level as Trump

This is a tough road for anyone with severe food allergies, and for him to be so cruel about it. If this were his child, he would not be saying such horrible things. Education is key for safety. So many do not understand the dangers of food allergies. He needs to understand that this issue is not one to take lightly or make fun of.
