The Free Trade Agreement, a conference to reduce trade barriers between Europe and the United States, has been delayed due to the US government shutdown and the foreign surveillance concerns. The United States desperately wants this agreement to be signed so Corporate America can operate in the Eurozone--including companies like Google, Apple, and Facebook--spurring huge potential profits. We cannot let the United States employ their state sovereignty over the rights of other nations. We need to limit their international power and only allow them to sign this agreement if they pass international privacy legislation--so these illicit technology-taps don't happen again. Please sign this petition to demonstrate that we need a definitive line regarding international privacy, and that we are willing to postpone trade to ensure this right.
