The workers who served AUC in the past years are not suppossed to be treated this way. They should either be brought back or given a good compensation for all the damage that has been done to them.

We also call on the University Senate to assume its responsibilities by denouncing the recent actions of this Administration through a resolution expressing their sincere regret as well as gratitude to the workers, and a symbolic vote of no confidence in the President, the Vice President for Planning, Administration and Finance, and the head of the legal department.
We believe that AUC’s mission, community, and international standing will be seriously compromised if these coercive tactics are normalized. As members of the AUC community with long histories and commitments to the institution, we expect a swift response and a confirmation of action regarding the demands listed above.

Such a disgrace to your alumni and the whole body. We are trying to spread liberty and justice when our administration is doing the exact opposite.

As a former student of the AUC and having taught at the institution as well, I find the treatment of housekeeping staff and the reprehensible union-busting tactics shameful.

A university should always be a place where everyone are encouraged to practice their respectful and mindful rights without due repercussions. Importantly, a good deal is usually when two sides negotiating are happy of the negotiated agreement. In conclusion, the university should be willing and act accordingly to finding a satissfying solution not only for itself, but for everyone within its community-including previous laborers.

As a relatively small, private institution, AUC can and should set a standard of ethical conduct that puts loyalty to its employees, especially those employees who are suffering the most in theses times, above any imagined or potential improvement in service. In these horrible economic times, surely we can act in a more humane way toward our fellow workers.

I know that AUC has every right to remove the workers as the contract is over but ...
1. We dont know the new works
2. Safety will be an Issue
3. Harassment is expected
We hope they can be assured jobs in with the company so that they still come to AUC... I know that was what you were trying to do to decrease Benefits but I guess its better than nothing :)
I am sure that whoever is taking this decision cares about the safety of our Students , Staff , Workers , Reputation and Our Second Home AUC :)
