This is shocking and whoever built these homes need to take responsibility for tenants and homeowners

I'm not a homeowner however have family who are and might be affected. Aberdeen City Council should be assisting them aswell as tenants. The properties were purchased in good faith

My daughter is a home owner in a RAAC infested building in Clackmannanshire. Clackmannanshire council gave my daughter less than 2 hours to pack up 2 weeks worth of clothing and get out. She is registered as homeless but still not given any temporary accommodation. She has been out her since mid October

This is affecting other councils too including Clackmannanshire.

Councils should be held liable for home owners costs. Were buyers advised of the existence of RAAC before purchase?

We live in a block of flats, a preivate ex-council masionette, in the city centre and have already had our ceiling collapse and damp/mould spread into several areas of our home. There are several homes still council owned in our block also. It's disgusting how little the council have cared, we have sent numerous emails, put in complaints etc (as well as a number of other homes in out block of flats).

From BBC News site of 6th Sept 23 1994: Concerns about the risks of using RAAC in public buildings started to appear in research. 1996: Excessive cracking and corrosion was found in some roof planks that had been designed before 1980.

ACC should take fully responsibility and liability on this matter. They should also start doing their job professionally and proficiently without messing around all the time

I am shocked and saddened to hear this. My heart goes out to these homeowners. Aberdeen City Council should hang their head in shame

ACC cannot wash their hands of this problem. I appreciate they may not have known at the time of the problems with the concrete but they must help the residents with the financial burden that they now face.
