Concerned Parents of Area V Mandarin Bilingual Program 关切第五区普通话双语课程的家长

as a bilingual parents, I feel it is very important to keep the heritage and nature advantage of home language and English at the same time. CBE cant cut the program for eliminate the only chance for people lived in the south end of the city to study chinese and English education.

Stakeholders in the south need to be consulted with this issue. There is a vested interest from a large community of parents that wish to grow the Mandarin bilingual program. This program has started in the south a few years ago, and needs to continue. There needs to be other options than having to move the program to the north, which would effectively serve to shut down interest from the south and be a detriment to the Mandarin bilingual program in Calgary as a whole. There is growing demand, and the education system needs to sustain this demand. Please keep the program alive in the south from K-9 inclusive.

Chinese (Mandarin) bilingual program at Midnapore school is very important for our south communities especially for our Chinese family.

We should have a Chinese and English school from grade 1 to grade 9 at South of Calgary

CBE should not cut program instead of attracting more good teacher to get more students have chance to learn Chinese.

I have two kids planing to be in the chinese english program. we should to put more resource in this program,to Lower the teacher s turn over rate and attract more student,rather than cut off the program. Thanks.

We are so surprised that this decision has not been discussed throughly with all involved parties and just rushly come up. This dictatorial style is not a proper way of resolving issues. We hope our voice can be heard clearly. Thanks.
