I dont want this place to be used as a drug rehab because of the people who live close to it plus I feel that people who do not take these drugs shouldnt have to worry about their safty because they are aloud to leave the property and come back also I feel the people should build a place in the country in a field so others shouldnt have to be bothered just like a jail

Well don't need to put our children endanger of this facility being need the school or need it in our community.

There is no need in a residential area for this type of drug rehab housing. Even though that area is zoned commercial as well as residential this type of business has no business being in that particular area. The house is too close to St John the Baptist school that holds CCD classes in the evenings for very young children. Also all along Liberty and Memorial there are numerous stops for children waiting for the school bus. This type of drug rehab facility should be placed somewhere more private and secluded than the close-knit proximity that this house sits to other houses, school, church and the Sokol club right next door too. I guess the realtor only cares about the profit he or she made in selling this property. Also, what a horrible time to schedule a city solicitor meeting on Wednesday, 1/17/18, at 1 pm. The majority of people work during this time. I guess the city of Perryopols wants this kind of business in this area. It can go along with the Methadone clinic with all of those people "flying " down Rt. 51 to get their pills.

when a senior high rise was mentioned it was nixed because you said no rif raf was wanted in this community. What is this?

This is a terrible idea, obviously initiated without forethought!! My family members are part of this community and I do not want this facility that will put their lives ,and others, at risk. Put this outside of Perryopolis, if the need is that great!

Do not feel this is in the best interests of the tax payers of Perryopolis. The area is too residential with young children living, playing and walking close by.

I adamantly oppose the special zoning exemption for an inpatient drug rehabilitation facility at 14 Memorial Drive. This building is located right next to a grade school and a church where the communities most vulnerable, children and the elderly respectively, could be put at risk. While I sympathize with the plight of these people and commend their attempt to turn around their lives, unfortunately I have known far too many people who have been in the same plight. As such, I have first-hand knowledge of how difficult drug rehabilitation can be, that it is an uphill battle, and that the on-again off-again exhausting cycle of relapse and wellness goes hand in hand with desperation and crime (typically drug-dealing, theft, and robbery to acquire money so that they can procure more drugs). Please DO NOT even consider allowing this facility so close to a school and church.

I oppose this facility because we already have a methadone clinic in our town. This is a residential area very near my home.

We have a quiet, clean, prosperous community, something that’s hard to find in Western Pennsylvania. We do not need another drug treatment facility, especially one that is in the middle of a nice residential neighborhood.

I have had several friends and family overdose and die within the past two years. While i believe people need help and am not blind to drugs and addicts already being in the area, this area is not the place for it. A couple of those that i have known who have passed away were found dead IN a halfway house, “seeking help” after their friends/family denied them of a place to stay after stealing anything they could get their hands on in their homes.

I do not support this! We have many children that live in this beautiful little town. Keep this away from our kids!
