This transportation service is very important to the individual with special needs to help them be independent and also to their caregivers who cannot quit their jobs to provide transportation to help our loved ones get where they need to go.

While I understand the budget shortfall, there is a huge reduction of services for those who need it most. 30 rides is not enough for gainful employment and cause even more pressure on State Services. Please reconsider this decision and all the people it will effect. Thank you

The proposed changes to the Tap and Rap programs would completely devastate my life rendering me incapable of achieving any of my life’s basic goals: grocery shopping,
Getting to my various doctors offices, getting back and forth to church, getting to any recreational facilities or gym. Without assess to these, clearly things would rapidly go downhill .
My health would surely decline.
My heart would be broken and sad.
My soul would be grieving.
Increasing the costs of these rides would place the use of them out of reach and for those who have come to rely on on these services, it would be just another nail in their coffin.
Stop the suggested changes. Don’t increase the rates.
Don’t cut back on the number of rides available daily. Please.
This is our lifeline, especially for widows and disabled. These services must remain untouched. Thank you.

This would be a fatal blow to so many disable Chicagoans. Why use is a one way ride?!?!? That is an abhorrent “solution” to the budget crisis.

Please keep this program in place. People with disabilities who have a fixed income rely on affordable, accessible transportation to get to work or health care appointments.

I am signing this petition in support of a very "handi-capable" friend who, though totally blind, relies upon these transportation services to maintain an extremely active life of business, church, relationships, etc.

Using transit is living life - we must keep it accessible for our community with disabilities. Only the RAP program provides true accessibility by being prompt, efficient, and affordable, while also cheaper for taxpayers to fund than PACE vans. It is essential that the TAP program continue providing multiple rides a day.
