SRE in schools isn't taught in a consistent, positive manner that is open and inclusive enough to encourage young people to make positive, healthy choices.

SRE appears to be poorly taught in many schools (particularly religious schools). LGBT SRE is non-existant (at least when I have spoken to YPs (in my role as an LGBT youth support worker) who are in, or have recently been in) education. In 2014 this is unacceptable.

The first step to reducing inequalities on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity (or any protected characteristic for that matter) has to be good education that dispels myths, and gives factually accurate and unbiased information. We owe it to the next generations to get this right not just for LGBTI people but for society as a whole.

I was born at a time when there was no sort of guidance, or teaching about sexual and other relationships. As a result I experienced a great deal of unhappiness about my sexuality, at a time too when sexual relationships between men could result in prison. Much has improved, but as a retired teacher I know that there is still much to do .

This is a brilliant campaign. When I began exploring my same sex attraction I was completely lost, which I found was not a problem that my straight friends had.

i believe everyone should get the correct SRE lessons regardless of their sexual preference. We need to give young people more knowledge

it is so important that all students, regardless of their sexuality, are educated regarding sex and relationships. Why are LGBTI pupils denined receiving proper and appropriate SRE?

All sexual education should be taught properly in Schools and that includes LGBT. I also believe that sex education should be taught at a younger age about 5 or 6 like they have in Sweden and other Countries. As children should know so they are not amused. We have a terrible record for Sexual abuse

The only mention back in the 1990's of Lesbian sex was that there was no age of consent was Queen Victoria didn't believe in it! That was in an all girls comprehensive! I can't we are in the same situation 20 years later!

Got laughed at by the teacher when I was at school for asking about lesbian safe sex. Great teaching!

education has to teach many aspects of SRE to age appropriate teens including LGBTI rights to equality. Sexual and domestic violence awareness too.
