Colorado State University prides itself on many great sustainability achievements including being the #1 performer in the Sustainable Campus Index, receiving the first platinum S.T.A.R.S. rating, and investing in a multitude of L.E.E.D. certified buildings. Both the administration and the Lory Student Center, have made great efforts to divert waste across campus and in the LSC. Currently staff work hard to compost in all of the back of house operations, as well as in the bathrooms, however students still do not have access to Front-of-House composting in the LCS. Sign the petition below to support joint student and administration efforts to create Front-of House composting opportunities in the Lory Student Center!

UPDATE: We have been collaborating with the administration and are hoping to have a pilot program in place by next semester :)

As a leader in sustainability adding compost to our school would impact more then just our community, but serve as an example to universities around the country

As one of the most popular places to hang out & eat food at on campus, there should be infrastructure in place to be able to compost.

I am an ESS major at the school and I had proposed a composting plan during one of my summer classes. I am happy that something is finally happening within the CSU community to bring more composting bins to campus

This is something I have wanted to see change at CSU my whole time here!! Since compostable take home containers are offered on campus, there needs to be a place to compost!

I would love to see compost bins in the LSC and maybe even eventually all across CSU campus. Thank you :)
