This is a fabulous idea, not just for walkers and cyclists but hopefully for horse riders as well. The alternative routes are either on busy roads or narrow, twisty roads. With other sections of the Tarka Trail already open this would be a great addition.

I support the proposed new route, personally it will allow me to travel safely between Hatherleigh and Petrockstow. I also believe it will improve the c2c route greatly by removing the temptation for cyclists to use the A386 north of Hatherleigh.

What a great idea. I've cycled to the moon and back along the Tarka Trail. It would great to see it extended.

The present route is very dangerous and not a friendly family cycle way. Great idea.

Much needed, as he roads between the 2 are quiet fast with lots of bends and not many safe passing places
