Would be ideal for walking dogs without having to chauffeur them to Meeth first. We at Hatherleigh need this gapto be filled.

This link really needs to be made for the good of the local communities North and South of the gap in the Tarka trail and especially the market town of Hatherleigh. The town has largely lost its market, being replaced by housing and would benefit from more through traffic of tourism. The local children would also benefit by being able to cycle on a safe off road trail. The link is being restricted by possibly one land owner who dislikes any local change, yet is happy to develop their own enterprises as much as possible for only their benefit and not the community.

I use the trail regularly and would love it to continue into hatherleigh, where i live, saving having to drive to meeth to get on the trail.

As an aging non driver living in Hatherleigh, opening up the more gentle slopes of the old line would be of huge benefit and will make the whole route far more accessible.

Makes sense. The road from Hatherleigh to meeth is terrible for cyclists. Fast road withany HGVs make it daunting for inexperienced cyclists and generally no fun.

This is needed now more than ever due to the terrible state of the roads and the amount of summer traffic.
