We would love to see this completed so we can enjoy riding our bikes in the area.

Crazy current situation for walkers & cyclists. Coming from the North you find yourself at Meeth on the side of a busy, windy, dangerous road with nowhere to go safely.

This would be very beneficial directly to our family and the local area. It would provide a safe link to local towns and beaches / costal paths for individuals without a drivers licence equally being a safe area for families with children to exercise and for other people to enjoy the scenery by cycling, walking and running therefore benefiting mental health. Additionally it could add a fantastic opportunity to Hatherleigh to increase tourists to the area. (Written by a local resident of Hatherleigh)

Hatherleigh and Meeth have been neglected by DCC by letting this project drift for more than 20 years in the face of self interest by one or two people with influence.

Especially important as the new market springs back into life after housing development!

What a difference this link section would make! Personal, leisure, tourism, eco etc My bike's just getting repaired and at the moment I will have to put it in the car to get to Meeth because it's just not safe to cycle on the road. I'd love to be able to cycle from home.

I am a keen cyclist but the Meeth, Hatherleigh section is very dangerous and it would be great if that section could be cycled off the main road.

We must take every opportunity to explore and have that calm serenity to do no harm in our enjoyment.

This does need to be done. I wouldn’t cycle or walk on that road in today’s traffic, let alone take children there. We need safe paths to be connected.

Difficult to see any downside to this
