The roads around here are far to dangerous for familys to cycle on. You find they will travel in the car to find cycle tracks.Hatherleigh is a growing young family town and this addition to the town makes perfect sense.

I love to walk around the nature reserve but you have to drive there first from hatherleigh.

We love to cycle and scoot as a family on the Tarka Trail but have to drive first from Hatherleigh. Join the trail and encourage more families to enjoy the countryside and be healthy.

Offering a more accessible route would bring more folk to Hatherleigh, and help with spending money whilst in the smallest town in Devon.

Cycling in the narrow and often pot-holed lanes around Sheepwash etc is dangerous for cyclists - especially as many using this route are family groups with young children. This extension to the off-road Tarka trail would improve safety as well as the experience for those using it.
