I strongly oppose "Section E" of the European Commission's January 2016 resolution regarding the state of Ethiopia. 2.5 Million Amhara people in Ethiopia had been systematically killed by the tplf regime in a span of 10 years. It is not my number, but tplf leader himself admitted the hidden genocide in his fake Parliament. I demand that the Commission make immediate correction on the said section.

It is with great sadness that I read the part of resolution 2016/2520RSP, which falsely accuses the people of Amhara as beneficiaries of the current government of Ethiopia, especially at a time when the very existence of Amharas any where in Ethiopia is purposefully made very difficult, and dangerous by the regime in power. It is well known that ever since TPLF accused the people of Amhara, and the Ethiopian Orthodox Church as the number one enemies of the people of Tigray, it has been tirelessly working to exterminate both parties in all its might. Amharas are disarmed, displaced, arrested, tortured, killed, made infertile, and systematically eradicated from all parts of the country. In current Ethiopia, the people of Amhara are probably the only group of people who don't have any meaningful representation in the union. Amharic speaking non-Amhara cadres at almost all level of government leads Amharas. I am absolutely against the displacement of all Ethiopians without their consent, and a fair market value compensation for their land (properties). I am also against the killing, arrest, and torture of peaceful protesters. Above all, I am against any party who condemn the victim, in this case the people of Amhara, as guilty of the current situation in Ethiopia. Amharas are victims of genocide for the last forty years, or so, and it is hard to believe that the European Union doesn’t know about it. Not all people who speak Amharic are Amharas Millions of non-Amhara Ethiopians speak the language, have Amharic names, and may even falsely, and purposefully identify themselves as Amharas at times as the prominent leaders of ANDM do. For the last twenty-five years Amharas have always been targets of abuse in current Oromia, and still are subject to unjustified brutal prosecution in the region, and can’t participate in the displacement of other Ethiopians. The Amhara are victims of an all-embracing discriminatory policies of the ruling Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) government. While the Amhara are one of the most disadvantaged groups in the country, it is very disappointing to see the EU mentioning them as part of the exploiters of the Oromo as indicated in this statement “particularly the Oromo and the Somali (Ogaden), have been marginalized in favor of the Amhara.”
