Complaints on European Parliament resolution on the situation in Ethiopia (2016/2520(RSP)) due to Its Misguiding Statement about Amhara

I kindly demand the EU to correct the statement.

Dear EU Parliamentarians, with all due respects to the petitioners, I would like to remind you not to fall in the trap of certain interest groups like these petioners. It is only fact to say that interest groups from the Amharas are the leading land grabbers in the history of Ethiopia. History of Addis Ababa and its adjuscent zones are explanatory of these facts. Addis Ababa was Amhara settlers city stablished in the center of Oromo land by displacing Oromo farmers at gun point. Since then, the settler Amharas were dominating and even oppressing Oromo culture, language, identity, politics and economy. This form of all round oppression was active until the current regime came to power in early 90's. But this regime didn't have both the capacity and political interest to shatter Amharas dominance over the Oromos and others in cultural aspects except in Tigray region. To this date, most Oromo towns feel like Amhara settlers city than indigenous Oromo towns. This is not a free will of the Oromos but the legacy of previous Amhara rules. This legacy of over 100 years Amhara domination kept them in receiving end of political and economic favors next to Tigrayans even under this regime. As a result, nearly 60% of federal government offices are occupied by Amhara ethnic group while they account only for 20% of total population. Hence, the struggle and endeavor of those interest groups who are stakeholders, beneficiaries and masterminds of historical injustices on southern people is not liberation/emancipation struggle, instead , it is envy for the undeserved and exploitative first place of Tigrayans. In another word, their dream is to replace the current regime and uphold the their longstanding domination in all sector. It is sad that those groups still think like medival era groups. ‬But it must be expected as it is all about defending self interest at any cost. I am presenting this petition in order to express my deep concern with the misguiding statement of the European parliament report on the people of Amhara in its recent resolution—European Parliament resolution on the situation in Ethiopia (2016/2520(RSP).

Amhara is the most victim of all the ethnic groups in Ethiopia. Please review your political stand against this community. Thanks!

Amhara as ethinic is severly oppressed to the extent of genocide which is a living fact.So,consideration of Amhara as marginalizer in line with TPLF is denying the existing fact which is self explanatory.And this explicitly contravenes the objectives and principles of EU.Therefore,i personly want to express my grievance on the statement mentioned in the letter and hope to see the corrected version after due consideration. I am opposed what the EPDRF gov't did for our citizens so,we strongly opposed what the did still konw with our people's and stop killing our people's and don't give our lands for Sudan!!!!!

How on earth Amhara is responsible for marginalizing the Oromo and Somali(Ogaden) from any political and economic representation equal to TPLF(rulling party)? Amhara is the primary target of TPLF for the 25 years.By design,the Amhara ethnic group has been demonized and criminaized by TPLF and the most neglected people of Ethiopia for the last 25years.Amhara had been masacared,cleansed,marginalized, abuse,persecuted,torchered, abandaned from their land and killed.In 1991 slaughters of many Amhara people including pregnant woman and children in Eastern part of Ethiopia the place called Arbagugu and Bedeno(Oromia region) and many Amharas displaced from the southern part of the country by lableling them "Amhara settlers". Moreover 2.5million Amhara vanished from the earth by TPLF.So now EU make anti Amhara statement by saying " Oromo and somali marginalized in the fevor of Amhara?" Why blaming the oppressed people of Amhara? Is it because Amharas genocide didn't get any media coverage? Is it because Amhara didn't protest on the streets? Amhara needs freedom, Amhara needs jutice, Amhara needs a country.
