An open Letter to EU and Member states Dear Ambassadors and the teams, This is Muluken Tesfaw, Editor-in- chief of Yeqelem Qend Newspaper.  As a concerned citizen and human rights activist, I seriously follow Ethiopian politics and contemporary issues what is happening and is going on in my motherland. As anyone who has basic knowledge about Ethiopia, can understand what is going on around Somali,   Oromia and Amhara regions. It is to be clear that about 140 Oromo and more than 400 Amhara peoples have been died in one way or another. The public protest is still going on in Oromia and Amhara Regions against of the Tigrai TPLF/EPRDF tyrants groups. Thousands have been jailed in mass. And the EPRDF government proved its cruelty from day and out. In this situation we heard that your parliament released a motion on Ethiopian current situation. Although your parliament condemns the evil act of EPRDF, I observed that a deliberate and a report with malicious effect against of Amhara peoples have been released. A couple of weeks before, we read a very biased report by BBC Radio. The BBC Radio clearly reported that the Oromo protest is against of Amhara and Tigrai ethnic expansions. And now your parliament clearly indicated that the government is controlled by Amhara and Tigrai minority groups in which it excludes the Oromo and Somalis who constitute the majority of the population of the country. Part “A” of the B8-0095/2016 the European parliament resolution in Ethiopia says “Whereas in Ethiopia which was one of the poorest countries in the world and is the African most populous nation, the ruling party – EPRDF dominated by the Amhara and the Tigray Ethnic clans has been since the overthrow of the military government in 1991: where as some of the largest ethnic communities particularly the Oromo and Somali (Ogaden) have been marginalized by Abyssinian (Amhara/Tigrai)….”. I think EU must collect sufficient evidence before labeling one ethnic group oppressor while the other oppressed. Please send experts to Ethiopia and investigate what happened to the Amharas in the last 40 years! Very sad as it comes from great institution of EU stature!

EU parlama is wrong about Amharas current situation in Ethiopia.I disappointed by the resolution "E".How come TPLF (rulling party) working in favor of Amhara?Nothing is done in the favor of Amhara rather everything is designed in the death of Amhara. Amhara is the most victim of all ethnic groups in Ethiopia because of false aquistions and wrong assumptions.The most poor region not only from Ethiopia in the world is Amhara region. Amhara is the most neglecte, the most displaced, the most killed,the most abused people in Ethiopia.Every bad things happend on Amhara for the last 25years silently just like the way Nazi did on innocent jewish people long time ago.I think European parlament confused by the biased information they get from other intangeble sources.EU Please do research deeply whats going on in Ethiopia exactly especially what happened to Amhara people and please help to stop the Amhara genocide in Ethiopia.Amhara currently faces a danger on his race,culture,history and soical interactions with other ethnic grups of Ethiopia.EU please change the incorrect and inapropriet statment on resolurion E " ... in favor of Amhara.." There is no favor for Amhara and Amharas in Ethiopia. Please don't disgrace Amhara to the outside world by wrong information.
