I think the second exam was GCSE standard, but the first was a little odd.

Really very angry about the Sociology exam/s. I lost 8 marks because the second paper had two terms ('anomie' and 'content analysis') that were not mentioned/defined in my 2 GCSE Sociology books nor mentioned/defined in my GCSE Sociology course materials. I am horrified that those A Level terms seeped into my paper when those weren't covered in my course materials.

As a parent my daughter was SO disappointed that this happened. She hopes to do A-levels and this has really put her at a disadvantage.

AQA were very harsh - anomie is an A level concept that should not have been in the exam. Yes- it was on the glossary, right at the bottom of the list, but teachers do not teach from that. And of course AQA will use that as an excuse to refuse to lower the grade boundaries. It is really unfair because students like myself have worked really hard in the last 2 years and I was consistently getting A*'s in mock exams - but now that I've lost 8 marks on the Unit 2 exam for sure, and possibly a few others in the Unit 1 exam - I know that my grade now is unattainable for myself. It is very unfair.

Everyone has subjects they're good at and subjects they're bad at. The exam boards shouldn't be biased and put high grade boundaries,

This exam was ridiculous and completely unfair I have to get a B grade in sociology to continue it for a level and I honestly don't feel like that is possible anymore

Aqa should do stand up, since they think they're funny.
