My son took this exam and studied hard for it and is now at a disadvantage because of the terminolgy that was in the exam. This is kid's futures being messed with. As a parent to say I'm fuming is an understatement!!

Guys it was not only the u it 2 paper for my school Atleast. We had never covered marketisation in education, free schools (because apparently they are not schools which are free which we all guessed.) And even symmetrical families (which is in the textbooks we had but isn't given a definition) we didn't cover it in class as it should really have just been called conjugal roles.

I sat this exam myself and found both exams a lot more challenging than all the previous past papers I had done in class, where I achieved A/A* results. I really think the grade boundaries should be lowered. Many students will miss out on important marks as some terms are in the A-Level specification!

The questions 'what is anomie' and 'content anaylasis' appeared on my GCSE exam and these are A-level terms

I did the sociology exam this year and I think it's unfair to give A level questions that we won't know how to answer as we haven't studied it

The grade boundaries should be lowered as there was many Alevel questions that we have never learn.

The grade bounderies should be lowered because of the A Level key term which was on there, which wasn't on the specification which we had to learn.Either give everyone who sat the sociology exam an extra 4 marks(because that's what the question was worth)or lower the grade boundaries.
