We thought the number of vacation rentals was already capped—some would say at far too many already. Now the number is even higher. Please re-think this decision. Such rentals are too often detrimental.

I got a crash course in the problems that vacation rentals in neighborhoods can cause when I purchased a home just a few doors up from a vacation rental - better known as The Party House. The loud noise, traffic, and on several occasions really offensive language, severely impacted our otherwise peaceful little neighborhood. Calling the sheriff when things get really out of hand is our only option. It is extremely disappointing that allowing even more of these types of revenue streams is on our horizon.

I have never seen so many strangers on Henry Island. It used to be we greeted everyone and had a conversation. Now they often walk by and leave there garbage on our beautiful beaches. Of course we want to allow visitors but a cap is necessary to protect our islands and our sense of community

We the people that pay taxes and vote for a candidate expect that candidate to represent all the people. Not just that put them in there on a Hate Platform to spend untold of time and money dealing with a problem that is not a problem. It is an emotional thought, with no basis of fact only feelings. Smells bad, looks bad, is bad. Have you ever thought to meet these "horrible" persons that manage these instruments of support for these islands? Of course not. Just pick up the pitch fork and head to the castle where Dr. Frankenstein lives.
